This PDF digital download includes Phonetic Booklets for Level 2 of the Mechanics of Reading sequence. Each booklet page pairs a real photograph with its phonetic word, helping the child connect reading to the real world.
The booklets cover the second group of phonetic sounds: r, rr, c/k/, v, g/g/, y, h, j, and z. Words are carefully chosen to be phonetically decodable at this stage, giving the child the satisfaction of reading real words independently.
