This PDF digital download includes 16 Advanced Patterns Short Story Cards for Level 3 of the Mechanics of Reading sequence. Each story is a coherent narrative focused on a specific advanced spelling pattern, using only words the child can decode at this stage.
The stories cover digraphs, closed syllables, special combinations, and more. Each one tells a complete little story with natural punctuation — periods, commas, question marks (¿?), and exclamation marks (¡!) — only where they naturally fit the narrative.
