Glass Polishing Set
This glass polishing set is designed for the Practical Life area, offering the child an opportunity to care for delicate materials through slow, intentional movement. The work supports the development of coordination, concentration, order, and independence.
The set includes a child sized apron designed to fit children approximately 3 to 6 years old. The elastic sides allow the child to dress independently, supporting self care and confidence.
Instead of using a single cloth for multiple steps, this set separates the work into clear stages. A square fabric polishing applicator is used to apply and spread the polishing product. Polishing mittens are used to polish the glass surface with controlled, guided movement. This separation helps the child follow the sequence of the work with clarity and success.
A crocheted cleaning sponge is used at the end of the activity to remove any remaining residue and to clean the underlay mat if needed. The underlay mat defines the work space and protects the table surface throughout the activity.
